Project Q is an educational project started in 2001, to aim for discovering young Japanese quartets and encouraging them to grow as professional quartets. We offer “Open master classes” by internationally renowned quartets and artists such as Gewandhaus Quartet, Vermeer Quartet, Gunter Pichler(Vn), Robert Mann(Vn), Koichiro Harada(Vn), Nobuko Imai(Va), Sadao Harada(Vc), Jean-Guihen Queyras(Vc). After the master classes, we offer “Trial mini-concerts” in public as warm-up and then “Concerts” with a full concert program to show their achievement in the project. We set a focus on one composer every year, for instance, Beethoven, Bartok, Schumann, Brahms, Haydn, Mendelszon.
